We are a friendly gossip-based, real life roleplay set in Austin, Texas that was opened in June 2014. The people of Austin are constantly under the watchful eye of an anonymous gossip blogger allegedly named The Snitch. This blogger is ruthless and won’t rest until every single secret is exposed. No one knows why The Snitch has beef with the city. But everyone is a victim. To better ourselves as writers, we ask our members to provide 300 words per post. It's easy! It was rare to get a weekend day off at the hospital. Even rarer to get one off at the same time as someone else without specifically asking for it to happen. So when Graham had noticed he and Roni had a Saturday off it was almost required he at least ask if she was busy and if not try to take advantage of it. As it turned out she was not busy and his suggestion of heading to the park with her little boy for the afternoon was met with happy agreement from her.
Graham had first met Veronica when she was still pregnant with Tristan and over the past six years had become pretty close with the little boy. The fact that Roni trusted him enough to let him into her kid's life was something he appreciated especially after everything she'd gone through with her ex. By this point he pretty much treated Tristan the same as he would if he were his own kid and there was literally nothing he wouldn't do for either he or his mom. A fact he knew Roni was aware of although Graham didn't think she truly realized just how far he'd go for them, for her. There were times he'd been so close to telling her but always he'd held back for the sake of not ruining what they had which was an amazing friendship and something he didn't want to jeopardize.
Getting to spend any kind of time with the pair though was something he looked forward to as it unfortunately seemed to happen quite rarely. As much as he saw Roni at the hospital he didn't get to see her son as often and even though he said it jokingly he meant it when he said he was having withdrawals. There was something about being around Tristan that made everything else weighing on his mind go away for a while.
Heading out a little bit before the time they had agreed to meet he ushered his dog, Sadie, into the passenger seat before going around to the driver's side and starting the engine. The park wasn't a long way from his house and he was a few minutes early even when he pulled into an empty parking spot. Already antsy at knowing where they were heading, Sadie danced around in the seat, waiting for him to get out and let her out of the car. Shaking his head, Graham quirked an eyebrow at the dog as he pulled the door open and she jumped out, tennis ball in her mouth.
Knowing Roni would be there soon enough he headed for a spot still visible from the parking lot where he could get some of Sadie's energy out in the meantime. The German-Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix took off like a shot as soon as the ball was in the air, bringing it back a few moments later, eager for more.

to say that she was nervous was a bit of an understatement. it wasn't like she and tristan hadn't hung out with graham in this capacity in the past, they had plenty of times. but considering how many times she had almost blurted out her secret the past couple of weeks, she had actively been avoiding him while at the hospital. but she hadn't been able to do that this time. when he had shown up at her office with the request to spend some time with her son on the incredibly rare weekend they both had off, veronica just couldn't find it within her to say no. her son had never gotten the chance to know his father and she would lie through her teeth about the man who had been responsible for getting her pregnant because she didn't want her son to know the kind of man that he came from. so to have a man like graham in their lives, it helped ease veronica's fears about the only men in his life being his uncles or grandfather.
all that aside, though, veronica couldn't deny that in the six years of knowing the older man she had grown very fond of him. when they had met, she had been pregnant and fresh out of a divorce thanks to her bastard of an ex knocking her out when she had told him she was pregnant. the move back to austin had been a hard one and she had been waiting for someone in her family to say 'i told you so' but it never came. they had simply welcomed her back home and then proceeded to help her settle back down. which had included helping her get her position at the hospital. she had been a known name without a known history back then and it had brought a number of people into her circle, but the only real one seemed to be the man she was currently dressing her son to go see.
"come on little man, we gotta get moving. graham is probably already waiting for us." the park wasn't far away from their house, but she hated being late and while it was acceptable when you had a six year old who had the tendency to need three or four changes of clothes throughout the day, she still tried to be as on time as possible. she laughed softly as tristan bounced in his spot while she tried to pull on his t-shirt, talking a mile a minute about something he had learned at school that he wanted to share with graham. "i'm sure he'll love to here that, tris. but we've got to get to the park first, so let mommy get your dressed and then we'll be that much closer to seeing him." that got the six year old to stop moving long enough to get his shirt and his shoes on before he was darting off toward the door and calling for her to hurry up.
sighing, veronica hurriedly got her own shoes on and tugged on a thin, long white sweater over her yellow tank top she had paired with a pair of her workout leggings. trips to the park with tristan always involved a lot of running around and she wanted to be as comfortable as possible. especially since these days she was far from comfortable in anything she did, but that was a whole different story. once she was set, she ushered tristan to the car and buckled him up in the back of her suv before heading to the park they always went to. graham was easy enough to spot and seeing him with his dog sadie brought a smile to her face as she unbuckled tristan before allowing him to rush off in search of graham.
"he's like a heat seeking missile when it comes to you," she commented as she walked up to him at a slower pace than her son. kneeling down, she greeted sadie as she always did and allowed the dog to lick her face before she pushed back to her feet. "hi," she smiled at graham. "sorry if we're late, tris just wouldn't stop moving long enough to get him dressed. he was excited to see you."
